My mom had this tradition with us that on the last day of summer vacation we would do something extra fun. I loved that idea and decided to continue it with my kiddos. I let Riley pick and she picked the WA State Fair. Well...the dang fair is closed on Tuesdays (which happened to be our last day of summer). So she went with the Hands on Children's Museum in Olympia. This museum is one of the coolest places if you have kids. We easily spend 6 hours here and it goes in the blink of an eye. We decided to get a season pass because even though it is an hour drive to get here, it is totally worth it.
We had the chance to house and dog sit again this summer! Only difference was, I did it with TWO kids and (eventually) 4 dogs. It was a total blast though. A great way to spend labor day weekend. Hanging out on a lake in the sunshine with my babies and some adorable doggos surrounding me. 10/10 would recommend.
Cameron's mom and step dad moved out of the house that I have known my entire relationship with Cameron. They now are in a BEAUTIFUL new place that I am really excited to make new memories at! But this is my walk through on the last day that I will ever step foot in that McCarver home. So many memories popped up of Cameron and I there it really took me by surprise of how much that house meant to me and how hard it was to say goodbye. I am grateful for the family and friends I grew to know in that place and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
